Trading carries a high risk of loss. LearnTrading provides educational content only — nothing on the platform is financial advice, a recommendation, or a guarantee of results.
Introduction
This Trading Disclaimer applies to the whole of the LearnTrading platform (the “Service”) and to all content made available through it. It sits alongside, and forms part of, our Terms & Conditions. By using the Service you confirm that you have read and understood this Disclaimer.
“Trading and investing in financial markets carries a high level of risk, including the risk of losing all of the capital you commit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.”
Educational purpose only
LearnTrading provides educational content only. Everything on the Service — courses, lessons, videos, audio, quizzes, articles, calculators, examples and illustrations — is intended to help you learn about financial markets, trading concepts and risk management.
Nothing on the Service is an offer, solicitation, or recommendation to buy, sell or hold any financial instrument, security, currency or crypto-asset, or to adopt any trading or investment strategy.
No financial advice
The Service is not financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. We are not a broker, investment adviser, portfolio manager or financial intermediary, and we are not regulated as one. We do not hold client funds or digital assets on your behalf.
In particular, we do not provide:
- trading signals, alerts or “buy/sell” calls;
- managed accounts, copy trading or mirror trading;
- personalised investment recommendations or portfolio advice;
- order execution, broker integrations or access to markets;
- any promise, guarantee or projection of profit or performance.
The content does not take into account your personal financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance or tax position.
Risk of loss
Trading and investing carry a high level of risk. Prices can move rapidly and unpredictably, and you may lose some or all of the capital you commit. Financial markets — including equities, derivatives, foreign exchange and crypto-assets — can experience extreme volatility, gaps and periods of low liquidity.
Trading is not suitable for everyone. You should never trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and you should carefully consider whether trading is appropriate for you in light of your circumstances and resources.
Leverage, margin & short-selling
Products that use leverage or margin — such as CFDs, futures, options and margined foreign-exchange or crypto positions — magnify both gains and losses. Losses can exceed your initial deposit, and you may be required to add funds at short notice or have positions closed automatically.
Short-selling carries theoretically unlimited risk, because there is no ceiling on how far a price can rise against a short position. These strategies are complex and high-risk, and are not suitable for many people.
Crypto-asset risks
Crypto-assets are highly volatile and speculative. Their value can fall sharply or to zero, and markets operate continuously with limited protections. Crypto-assets are subject to significant and evolving regulatory uncertainty, and their legal treatment varies widely between jurisdictions and may change.
Additional risks include loss of access to wallets or private keys, exchange failure, fraud, and irreversible transactions. Educational content about crypto-assets on the Service is not an endorsement of any asset, project or platform.
Past performance
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Any examples, backtests, simulations, historical charts or case studies presented in the content are for educational illustration only. They do not represent real trading, do not account for all costs and conditions, and do not guarantee or predict any future outcome.
Your responsibility
Any decision to trade, invest or use any financial product is made solely by you, at your own risk. You are responsible for your own research, for understanding the products and risks involved, and for the consequences of your decisions — including any use of leverage or trading in crypto-assets.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LearnTrading is not liable for any loss or damage arising from decisions you make based on the content of the Service. This is without prejudice to any rights you may have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Seek professional advice
Before making any trading or investment decision, we strongly recommend that you seek independent advice from a licensed financial adviser regulated in your jurisdiction who can take your personal circumstances into account. If you do not fully understand the risks involved, you should not trade.
